Todd Headley was the Chief Financial Officer of Sourcefire, a Columbia, Maryland based cyber security firm (NASDAQ: FIRE) from 2003 until it’s acquisition by Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) in October of 2013 for $2.7B. Todd joined Sourcefire in 2003 when it had only 30 employees and $2M in annual revenue. Over the course of the next 10 years, Todd was instrumental in helping grow the business to over 700 people with nearly $300M in global annual revenues. Sourcefire raised a total of $55M in four rounds of venture financing, completed a $93M IPO in 2007, and made two technology acquisitions.
From 1992-2003 Todd held key financial management positions in four Washington DC area, venture-backed, technology start-ups, each of which was ultimately acquired – Riverbed Technologies, Roadshow, BioNetrix and POMS. Todd has helped build and guide companies from their early stages through significant growth periods, and he has managed several M&A transactions, negotiated enterprise licenses and technology partnership arrangements and spear-headed international expansion.
Todd serves as a director at four, security-minded companies. Qualys (NASDAQ: QLYS), based in Silicon Valley is a provider of cloud security and compliance solutions that enable organizations to identify security risks to their IT infrastructure, help protect their IT systems and applications from cyber attacks. LogRhythm, based in Boulder, is a leading provider of unified security intelligence and analytics solutions, empowering organizations to automate the detection, prioritization and neutralization of cyber-threats that have penetrated the enterprise perimeter or originated from within. ZeroFOX, based in Baltimore, offers an Enterprise Social Media Risk Management suite that enables organizations to identify, manage and mitigate information security risk introduced through social media. Phantom Cyber, based in Silicon Valley, automates and empowers the incident response and remediation process for enterprises that have been successfully penetrated, a growing reality in today’s computing world.
Todd began his career in 1985 as a public accountant with Arthur Andersen in Washington, DC. He obtained his CPA and holds a BS degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. Todd is an avid outdoorsman, sportsman and adventure seeker. Additionally, he spent 21 years coaching youth ice hockey, soccer and lacrosse.
